Victor Andrada

Victor-AndradaThe Irving based Andrada’s music can be best described as Latin infused acoustic jazz that contains hints of folk and Tejano music. His guitar work on this album is breath taking, so clean and precise. What I did find odd was that for someone who is such a virtuoso on the guitar, Andrada is content to allow his playing to merely supply respite to his powerful vocal work. There is no showing off by Andrada on this record, and by being so subtle, he actually showcases the full range of his talents. However, if you listen closely to “Between the Lines,” “Vacio Sin Ti” and “Special Times,” and you will get a good idea of just how capable Andrada is with the guitar.
